TCGplayer Authentication Center study, read directly from the primary article (Peter Day, updated 2026-02-24): more than 5,000 Phantasmal Flames booster packs opened, per-tier rates with 95% confidence intervals — Double Rare 20.77% ±1.12, Ultra Rare 8.06% ±0.75, Illustration Rare 10.97% ±0.86, Special Illustration Rare 1.25% ±0.31, Mega Hyper Rare 0.08% ±0.08. The study finds these effectively identical to Mega Evolution. Only one Mega Hyper Rare card (Mega Charizard X ex) at ~1 in 1,260 packs. No ACE SPEC or regular Hyper Rare tier.
